Goal: We are looking for interns this year during the winter semester, 2022. We have a wide range of projects to work on so individuals will need to be able to work remotely, and be self-starters on expansion projects.  Interns will work directly with Come on Out staff to design the best writing and journalism internship for your educational and personal goals.

Duration: Flexible, 8-12 weeks. beginning mid-January.

Hours: 5-10/week

Type of Internship: Unpaid, work related transportation/expenses provided. We are more than happy to work with you and/or your university to get the internship approved for your degree.

Available Internship Focus: We have a lot of work to do and many projects to choose from and the ability to use your own creativity in designing a project. We are looking for an intern to assist with writing content for our websites, blogs, newsletters, and social media. Interns will have the flexibility to choose which projects most appeal to them, but certain projects will have strict deadlines.

Main projects include: researching, formatting, and writing our eTEFL teaching and living guides for specific countries, adjusting website verbiage, creating supplemental material for our Come On Out English website, business writing (example: drafting applications for grants), helping to write the Come On Out Japan newsletter, and potentially creating blogs for any of our ventures.

Requirements:

Individuals need be self-starters, highly motivated, and be able to work with several different projects at the same time remotely. We prefer interns with a background in English, writing, communications, or marketing, but all applicants will be considered.
