UPDATES as of OCTOBER 2020

We hope all is well with you and your loved ones during these difficult times. Come On Out continues to monitor the pandemic and we will provide updates to our program here. While we remain optimistic about the 2021 Global English Camp, the health and safety of our interns and students are our top priorities. Below you will find a summary of our recruiting policies and updates for next summer’s program. Stay safe and healthy – please reach out to us with any questions. In the meantime, we recommend getting TEFL certified in order to further your interest in teaching abroad. Teaching online is a great way to stay involved and connected to students abroad during the COVID-19 pandemic.

GLOBAL ENGLISH CAMP 2021 SUMMARy

1.     All interns accepted into the 2020 GEC Program are guaranteed a spot in the 2021 program.

2.     Applications for the 2021 Program will open October 15, 2020.

3.     Dates for our 2021 Program are unconfirmed (tentatively mid-July to end of August).

4.     We will update this page monthly, however, the best way to stay updated is through our newsletter.

COVID-19 RESOURCES

When providing updates and making decisions about the status of our program, we will be following the guidelines of our program sponsors in Japan, the Tokyo Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Health, as well as the respective embassies and universities of our interns. We will also be adhering to guidance and protocol of national health advisory institutions, such as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as global agencies, including the World Health Organization (WHO). We recommend our prospective interns also stay up to date through a variety of these resources, listed below.
