Face-to-Face TEFL Summer Immersion Program 2025

 

Course Accreditation

We are internationally certified by the Online TEFL & TESOL Standards Agency to provide world class teacher training alongside real help searching through job opportunities through our Job Club. Our CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Group accreditation includes strict external monitoring that ensures that you are getting a trusted and quality education.

Tentative Dates: Monday, June 23rd, 2025 to Saturday, July 5th, 2025

Participation Fee

  • The total cost of the program is $2250. A $750 deposit will be required to secure your spot after your consultation with us!

What We Provide

  • TEFL Certificate

  • Domestic Transportation for Week 2 (including both local transportation within cities and travel to the Week 2 location).

  • Housing for Week 2

  • Teacher Training, Support, and Guidance

  • Cultural Immersion: In addition to teaching Japanese students, you can explore local attractions, try traditional Japanese foods, and deepen your understanding of Japan’s rich culture. Build meaningful friendships and connections with your fellow program participants!

  • Welcome Dinner on the first night of training!

Program Structure and Tentative Schedule

Week 1: Monday, June 23rd - Friday, June 27th

Complete Your TEFL Certificate and Teacher Training (Tokyo, Japan)

(Tentative Daily Schedule: 11:00-19:00)

  • Location: Kohitsuji Educational Training Center

  • Online Coursework: Finish your TEFL certification through our flexible, self-paced online course prior to arrival in Japan.

  • Professional Support: Receive training, guidance and feedback from experienced instructors and work together with other participants to build your teaching skills upon arrival to Japan. Plan curriculum and receive training on how to execute effective lesson plans.

  • Work with local nursery and elementary school students to practice teaching skills with this age group.

  • Week 1 in Tokyo, Japan, will be spent preparing for the Week 2 Teaching Practicum and finalizing your TEFL certificate to ensure you have mastered the content). These sessions will be led by our very own TEFL-certified instructor, Zander Botha!

Week 2: sunday, june 29th to saturday, july 5th

Teaching Practicum & Cultural Exploration (Location Details and Times coming soon!)

(Tentative Daily Schedule: Dependent on venue)

  • Sunday, June 29th depart for venue via train or bus.

  • Monday, June 30th-Friday July 4th

    • Teaching Practicum: Apply what you’ve learned in your TEFL course through teaching actual Japanese students. Put your new skills into practice by teaching English to local students, gaining real classroom experience. Student ages can range from elementary all the way to high school!

    • Teachers will create curriculum and lessons for the teaching practicum.

    • Receive individualized feedback and teaching tips from Zander and Faby, your mentors, while actually in the classroom! 

  • Travel & Explore: Experience the culture firsthand while getting the opportunity to apply your skills in the classroom.

*Meals are not provided or reimbursed by COO and are the participant’s financial responsibility. Housing and transportation not included for Sunday, June 22nd up to the morning of Sunday, June 29th. (Recommendations upon request.)

*Plane tickets to Japan and back to the participant’s home country are the participant’s financial responsibility . We are happy to assist with any documentation needed for grant or funding programs at your university.

My love and passion for creatively teaching, training, and mentoring people and seeing them progress is what drove me to become an ESL teacher. I am eager to utilize my strengths as a public speaker and I am driven by excellence, to guide others in their journey of learning a new language. I have more than 8 years of coaching, training, mentoring, and public speaking experience. My experience as a public speaker has especially enabled me to help people become better communicators by improving every aspect of verbal and non verbal communication. I also have extensive experience in conversational English, Career path preparation (interviews, presentations, professional profiles etc), life-skills and basic business English.
